Repairing Damaged Hair
Often we discover that our hair is starting to lose its shine and natural strength leaving it looking unhealthy and weak. However at Sunshrine we are trained and equipped to help determine your hair's specific weaknesses and offer solutions to regain that natural shine and health.
Before we begin, we wash the hair with a clarifying shampoo to remove all the chemicals from all products used to date as well as chlorine from pools or hard water from showering.
We begin with a pre-treatment which opens up the cuticle which allows the colour to get deep into the cortex restoring the natural shine and strength. We work with all natural ingredients. For a repairing treatment we prefer the "milk shake" product which is available in our salon, but which you can also do at home.
Contrary to popular belief, it is important to do this conditioning treatment before colouring your hair as it allows you to get the cuticle to an even base which in turn helps to restore the natural colour allowing the colour treatment to last longer and unfolding its full potential.
