Re-Texturizing Your Hair
Re-Texturizing is a great choice for anyone who doesn't want to blow drying their hair every day. Re-texturizing is just perming, but perms have come a long way in the last few years.
If you have fine hair that doesn't hold a curl or you have short hair and want to add height and volume, re-texturizing is a great solution. A small amount of texturizing solution is used to relax your hair and make it more able to hold a curl from a curling iron, or hot rollers. By using small amounts of solution, applied to specific areas we can create anything from a soft wave, to a full head of curls
.
'Re-texturizing', means altering the natural texture of your hair. Perms are making a big comeback because perms today are not as damaging to your hair and can be better controlled to adjust the amount of curl that results.
Beautiful natural looking curl can be achieved for simple wash and wear styles. Just wash your hair, work some good styling products through, shape it and go. No blow drying or curling required. About an hour and a half for a good perm can save many hours styling your hair.
If you looking to colour or highlight your hair as well as texturize it, we recommend you re-texture your hair first, then wait two weeks between chemical treatments, before you colour or highlight your hair. The perm will lighten you hair colour so it's better to wait to colour until after the perm.
At Sunshrine we use a very natural gentle Aloe Vera perm with lots of natural moisturizing and healing properties, and your perm is always followed by a cut and style
.
If you are looking for a wash and wear hair style, Tammy at Sunshrine would strongly recommend you give a perm a try. When you call to book your perm, make sure to book your colour or highlighting at least two weeks after the perm to give your hair a rest period.
